Panic attacks

panic attack helpPanic attacks can be terrifying for the person who is suffering from them. They are caused by an overload of anxiety and the symptoms are usually very clear. Someone having a panic attack will usually experience palpitations, shortness of breath, sweating, feeling of losing control etc.
Hypnotherapy is extremely effective in treating panic attacks and is certainly more effective than the use of medication which only treats the symptoms but not the underlying root courses. We tend to remove these attacks completely by working on the root problem. It is not necessary for the client to know where the problem originates from, but it is usually one or more past events that contain some form of distress.
By releasing the anxiety in these events the panic attacks subside and they do not return.

Dental or Dentist Phobia

dentist phobiaYou are certainly not alone if your fear of visiting the dentist is so big that you rather avoid doing it. Fear of having dental surgery is one of the most common phobias that I deal with. Many people delay visits to the dentist for months and even years, which can obviously mean even worse problems with their teeth.
The question is: do you want your life being dictated to by fear or do you want to overcome it?
Dental fear or phobia could be the result of a bad past dental experience, an inherited fear, or many other things.
Hypnosis can help you to feel more in control of the situation and to build confidence at sitting in that dreaded dentist’s chair. It can certainly help you to feel more relaxed and relieve all that accumulated anxiety. Fear is only in your mind and hypnosis helps you to tap into the subconscious of your mind and release it. You do not have to live with fear.

Cures for Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

IBS is a common disorder and affects women and men. The obvious step for any person suffering from it is to see their doctor. However, doctors usually treat the symptoms rather than finding out the underlying causes for the problem.

Irritable Bowel SyndromeIBS can be caused by many factors and often starts because of some major stress in a person’s life. It could be exams, death of somebody loved, an accident etc.

People who suffer from IBS usually name the following symptoms: gas, bloating, diarrhea or constipation, stomach aches, etc and wanty to know more about the Causes, Symptoms, what Tests can be done, what Treatments are on offer and a Prognosis.

Suffering from IBS can limit a person’s life severely. Somebody suffering from IBS tends to look around for the nearest toilet wherever possible.

IBS is associated with emotional issues such as low self-esteem and self-respect.
The first thing to be done when using hypnotherapy in treating IBS is to find the underlying causes of the reason for having this condition.

The subconscious is usually more than willing to reveal these causes. Once the cause has been discovered the energy it can be released. The power of the mind can then take control of the digestive system and the client can live the life they want to live.

FEARS and PHOBIAS use Hypnotherapy

One type of issue that I work with frequently are fears and phobias. There are hundreds of recognised phobias and probably even more that aren’t recognised. A phobia is an irrational fear often leading to a very irrational response, an extreme reaction. Many people suffer from phobias and quite often have panic attacks triggered by phobias.

PHOBIAS use HypnotherapyA doctor can do very little about it other than prescribe drugs. The aim whenever I work with phobias is to either considerably reduce the phobia or to completely eliminate it. This is done in a variety of ways, sometimes by regressing back to the root cause of the fear, sometimes by using hypnotic suggestions, sometimes by using NLP techniques that can often work very quickly and successfully.

For me as a therapist it is very satisfying to help a client get his life back. I have dealt with many phobias, the most common ones probably being fear of flying, fear of snakes, fear of water, fear of vomiting, agoraphobia and claustrophobia.

Hypnotherapy is probably the finest treatment process for fears and phobias, and works in the vast majority of cases.

Stopping or Habit Breaking

I help clients regularly to take control of their lives by breaking frustrating habits. Have you had enough of being dictated to by a cigarette? Have you tried quitting but it just didn’t work out? Are you using artificial cigarettes that are full of chemicals? Or maybe you stopped and suddenly feel very anxious all the time? Or just maybe you managed to stop only to put on weight?

Sabine Hypnotherapist
I can most certainly help you.
Most habits have an emotional root cause which is the reason why many habits are difficult to break. Hypnosis is very effective in breaking subconscious associations. An example of this could be someone who can’t stop themselves from over-eating or snacking. The reason for these negative habits could be because of boredom, loneliness or anxiety, etc.

If a person tries to change these habits by simply using willpower, the chances are that at some point the will-power will fade because all the emotions causing the problem are still there and the over-eating and snacking will come back. A behaviour, such as overeating, smoking, nail-biting, etc. doesn’t satisfy the feeling, all it does is distract from the feeling for a short time. However, with hypnosis it is possible to tackle both, behaviour and emotion, at the same time and take control of one’s eating habits.

Would you like to lose weight effectively?

Driving Anxiety Help

Driving anxiety is a common form of anxiety. It can vary from being so severe that you’re unable to even sit in a car to simply a hesitation to drive. Occasionally, it tends to develop into a phobia. There can be several fears creating this problem including that of losing control; being in an accident; being trapped inside the car in a traffic jam or fear of fainting.
driving phobiasThe signs of driving anxiety are no different from any other form of anxiety. You feel very scared and everything possible is done to avoid these feelings. It can have an enormous impact on your life, especially when driving is part of a job or something that has to be done every day.
The reasons for this anxiety can vary.  Sometimes the causes are known, maybe because the person has experienced or witnessed an accident. However, often enough there doesn’t seem to be a plausible reason for the fear.
However, there is no need to suffer from anxiety. Why go through life with a handicap that really isn’t needed?

Sabine HypnotherapistBy self-esteem we mean how a person feels himself or herself. If you find it hard to say anything good about yourself or couldn’t possibly answer ‘yes, ‘I like and approve of myself’ you may be suffering from low self-esteem. Most people experience it at some point in their lives but some people have constant low self-esteem. Signs of low self-esteem tend to be ‘feeling hopeless’, ‘bored with life’, ‘having no motivation’, and ‘feeling tired much of the time’.
There are many causes that can determine why one should feel this way. One example might be our upbringing as our early years influence our self-esteem considerably. Adolescence has a big impact on how self-esteem develops and also how a person reacts to his environment.
Hypnotherapy can help to empower a person and overcome low self-esteem by uncovering the emotional root causes and neutralising them, healing the wounds of the past and using the power of the sub-conscious mind to change negative thinking into more positive thinking patterns.

"We are unlimited beings. We have no ceiling. The capabilities and the talents and the gifts and the power that is within every single individual that is on this planet, is unlimited" - Michael Beckwith.
