Behaviour Change

Hypnosis can definitely help change your behaviour. Do you find that you are frequently angry, that you keep blaming others? Is it difficult to keep your anger under control? Behavioural patterns are frequently learned in our early years.

Help with Anxiety

Most people experience anxiety at some point in their lives. For some, however, it can escalate into panic attacks and a constant state of discomfort. For some, anxiety comes on suddenly, while for others it develops over a period of time. It is made worse by the expectancy of it. Often people are not sure what is causing them to feel that way.

Help with my Anger

Why hold on to anger? Just because you got hurt perhaps 25 years ago doesn’t mean you have to keep hurting. Whoever caused you the pain has most likely forgotten about it and yet it is still having power over you. The anger inside you doesn’t affect him/her at all but is certainly harmful to you. Just think about it! How much pain have you suffered by having these unpleasant feelings.

We tend to find ways of coping with pain and sometimes it is the best we can do, but it never works long-term because coping doesn’t change the feeling inside. It actually makes it worse as more energy is invested in keeping down the pressure. Hidden feelings don’t just disappear, in fact quite frequently they come up as symptoms of diseases.

All feelings are there to teach us something about ourselves. Feeling angry is very often the feeling of being paralysed or of being a victim. If you ask yourself, “Do I want to keep feeling this way?” and the answer is ‘No’, there are several ways to go about it. Hypnosis is certainly not magic but sometimes it can seem this way, especially when you are left at ease after living with a feeling that can be so debilitating.

Advanced masters such as Buddha or Osho would advise you not to become attached to a feeling but not to push them away either. That way we can learn that feelings come and go. With the use of hypnosis we are likely to find a faster relief from an unwanted feeling. There is nothing wrong with anger as it is simply a reaction to what we perceive. Often it will motivate us to change our lives and fix certain injustices. However, at times the event has occurred too long ago to change a situation.

Deep-rooted anger needs to be released. It keeps us in the past and doesn’t allow us to live life fully. To release anger is always a sign of strength, it is a message to ourselves that we want to move forward and feel good about ourselves. It does not justify what was done to us but helps us to have a far more positive future. Once the anger has gone, you will feel a lightness inside your body and a wonderful clarity.

hypnotherapy? The major component for change is imagination. If you can imagine something and you want it, you most likely will achieve it. An athlete would achieve it by crossing the line first, a golfer by seeing the ball drop into the hole, a boxer by hearing the roar of the crowds.

Everyone can do it and practice this visualisation process. At first you need to know what it is that you want to achieve or own. Maybe you want to get a new job, imagine someone congratulating you on your new job, feel, see, hear what this would be like. Maybe you want your house to be clutter free. Imagine walking through the house and feel how good the emptiness feels.

When you practise this on a regular basis you will find that you feel better, that you have more motivation. Hypnotherapy helps clients bring about certain feelings, thoughts, sensations and behaviours and by practising imagination while in trance makes it a very strong process, one that will also increase motivation. If you expect something to happen, it will, whether it be wanted or unwanted. It happens because you have convinced yourself that it will happen.

Access Bars

Access Bars is an energetic body process that involves the gentle touching of 32 points on your head. These points store the electromagnetic components of all the fears, anxiety and thoughts locked up energy in your mind and body.
They also relate to all areas of your life such as creativity, awareness, body, sexuality, joy, sadness, money, control and so forth.
While receiving a Bars session, it allows the charge on these areas to dissipate, together with the stress and worry. It happens with ease and different experiences show up in your life.
You can use it on everything! As there are Bars for every aspect of your life it is possible to clear limitations in any aspect of your life. Would you like to clear any limitations relating to body, control, creativity, awareness, hopes and dreams, sadness and joy, power, sex, money and ageing?

Having your Bars run can have an effect on reducing stress, clearing the mind quite dramatically, increased energy, sleep improvement, elimination of pains, losing weight, learning etc.

At worst you feel like you have just had the best massage of your life. At best your whole life can change into something greater with total ease.

Eating Disorders – Hypnotherapy can be a great help!

People who suffer from an eating disorder tend to have an unhealthy attitude towards food. Most people who suffer with an eating disorder don’t feel understood. Usually they don’t like the way they look and constantly think about weight or body shape. It is also quite common to eat in strange cycles or to eat less and less. There are different types of eating disorders but all of them can have devastating results. Eating disorders are very serious as they change the way one thinks and behaves. They affect people of all ages and backgrounds. The most common eating disorders are anorexia, bulimia and binge eating.

There are different causes for eating disorders, sometimes there is a family history, feeling pressure to stay slim, upsetting events, relationship problems, criticisms, too much pressure etc. The common denominator seems to be ‘control’. In the beginning it may feel calming to be in control of food and eating but it soon goes out of hand and the disorder takes control.

Understanding the root cause of the disorder is often the key to recovery. Working with regression is very helpful and the subconscious is usually more than willing to assist. It is preferable to work on the underlying causes and release whatever is causing the issue. However, hypnotherapy has many different tools that can be used in various ways. Positive suggestions can help change the way you see yourself and how you feel about yourself.

Hypnotherapy can be a great help in feeling good about yourself and that way develop healthy eating habits, and actually enjoy the process of eating.

Hypnosis to Stop Smoking

Tobacco has been around for centuries but it is only been fairly recently known that smoking can be harmful. There is so much evidence that points to the danger of smoking and yet people still find it a habit that is difficult to stop. There are hundreds of reasons why people smoke, for example boredom, peer pressure, problems in life, work, alcohol etc. Smoking can become addictive quite quickly as nicotine is one of the most addictive substances known to man.

For most smokers it takes a little more than sheer willpower to break this habit. Hypnotherapy is a VERY effective way to help stop smoking. Remember, it is never too late to stop smoking and become a non-smoker! Once you stop smoking your body can recover and reverse some of the damaging effects that nicotine and the other toxic chemicals in cigarettes have had on it. Usually, after only a few hours after someone stops smoking their body will already begin a healing process.

stop smoking HypnotherapyThere are many reasons why becoming a non-smoker may be good for you. The chances are that it will increase your life expectancy. Your body will receive more oxygen which means you are going to feel more energetic and more alert. Smokers are often more susceptible to colds. Your immune system will get stronger once you stop smoking. Depending on the number of cigarettes you smoke it is highly likely that you will save a fair amount of money (perhaps several thousands of pounds a year). Not smoking will definitely increase relaxation in your body and you will be able to handle life in a calmer way (do not believe that smoking relaxes you - IT DOES NOT!! It is physically impossible to inject thousands of toxic chemicals into your blood stream and expect your body to relax). For some people it becomes noticeable that their skin and hair condition improves and that complexion looks better.

Hypnotherapy, or to the point "Hypnosis to Stop Smoking", when done well is a great way to stop smoking as it is incredibly effective feels good and will enhance your life. Most people who come to me are able to become smoke-free after only one session. Many of my previous clients have commented on how easy they found it to become a non-smoker after they used hypnosis. So, there’s no need to struggle with trying to give up smoking; simply use hypnotherapy to Stop Smoking and the power of your sub-conscious mind to successfully become smoke-free.

Fear of Death and Dying (necrophobia)

Cure the Fear of Death and Dying (necrophobia) with hypnosis.

Fear of Death and Dying hypnosisMany people are more afraid of the process of dying than death itself. The only certainty we have in life is ‘death’. And absolutely all living things die. It seems that many people fear death and if it isn’t the fear of one’s own death it will be the death of someone we love. While many people are uncomfortable with the topic there are those who dwell on it incessantly, are anxious when being faced with the topic while in conversation, reading about it or if they come across it in some way in day to day life.
Most people can understand to some extent the fear of dying; however, those that have a deep fear find that it interferes with their every-day life. This phobia can lead to panic attacks and often people are scared when they are not in complete control.
The fear of dying is very common and if you live in Hull, Beverley or surrounding areas in Yorkshire, hypnosis is an excellent way to release this fear completely. Sometimes people have memories of when this fear started but more often than not people are unaware of what may have caused it. This makes no difference to the hypnotherapy treatment. Either way the sufferer can be free to live a life free of fear.

Fear of Public Speaking

Fear of Public Speaking

Many people are terrified to speak in public.  I understand that this is the number 1 fear in America. Some of the reasons are they are worried of making a fool of themselves, maybe saying the wrong thing or forgetting what to say, being too self-conscious, lacking confidence etc. It can be a daunting thing to stand in front of a group of people and give a presentation.

Hypnotherapy can help to eliminate anxiety by making use of the power of the subconscious. First of all it teaches clients to stay calm and relaxed and of course eliminates possible issues to do with lack of confidence. There are different techniques that are used to prepare clients to speak in public or to prepare them for an actual event where they have to speak in front of people.

I often share with my clients a range of stress management techniques which can help them to stay calmer and more focused, as well as using hypnotherapy and EFT to neutralise the fears and anxieties. I estimate that around 80% of phobias improve dramatically when I do this.
