Behaviour Change

Hypnosis can definitely help change your behaviour. Do you find that you are frequently angry, that you keep blaming others? Is it difficult to keep your anger under control? Behavioural patterns are frequently learned in our early years.

Help with Anxiety

Most people experience anxiety at some point in their lives. For some, however, it can escalate into panic attacks and a constant state of discomfort. For some, anxiety comes on suddenly, while for others it develops over a period of time. It is made worse by the expectancy of it. Often people are not sure what is causing them to feel that way.

Success

hypnotherapy? The major component for change is imagination. If you can imagine something and you want it, you most likely will achieve it. An athlete would achieve it by crossing the line first, a golfer by seeing the ball drop into the hole, a boxer by hearing the roar of the crowds.

Everyone can do it and practice this visualisation process. At first you need to know what it is that you want to achieve or own. Maybe you want to get a new job, imagine someone congratulating you on your new job, feel, see, hear what this would be like. Maybe you want your house to be clutter free. Imagine walking through the house and feel how good the emptiness feels.

When you practise this on a regular basis you will find that you feel better, that you have more motivation. Hypnotherapy helps clients bring about certain feelings, thoughts, sensations and behaviours and by practising imagination while in trance makes it a very strong process, one that will also increase motivation. If you expect something to happen, it will, whether it be wanted or unwanted. It happens because you have convinced yourself that it will happen.

Feeling Stuck

panic attack helpFeeling stuck - this is one of the most common complaints I get to hear. It usually comes with a feeling of being disenchanted and frustrated with life. If any of these rings true then you haven’t been honoring your inner values in something that you are doing in your life. Or it could be that you are forgetting about your natural talents or you put yourself in a place where your inborn inclinations are being ignored.
If you feel that you need some help to get out of this ‘rut’ just contact me. If you have ever felt motivated in your life, or if you have ever been passionate about anything, then this is all you need to get to that stage again. You are meant to have a good life and you are meant to enjoy it.

We will find out what the causes are that don’t allow you to thrive and to feel good so that once more you can live with happiness and fulfilment as indeed you are meant to.

Breakup Heartbreak

It seems unbelievable what impact heartbreak can have on your life. Something that was perfect the day before, or last month or maybe a year ago can now be completely empty and meaningless. Heartbreak is powerful and at some point it isn’t just an emotion any longer, not something you ‘have to go through’.

Access Bars

Access Bars is an energetic body process that involves the gentle touching of 32 points on your head. These points store the electromagnetic components of all the fears, anxiety and thoughts locked up energy in your mind and body.
They also relate to all areas of your life such as creativity, awareness, body, sexuality, joy, sadness, money, control and so forth.
While receiving a Bars session, it allows the charge on these areas to dissipate, together with the stress and worry. It happens with ease and different experiences show up in your life.
You can use it on everything! As there are Bars for every aspect of your life it is possible to clear limitations in any aspect of your life. Would you like to clear any limitations relating to body, control, creativity, awareness, hopes and dreams, sadness and joy, power, sex, money and ageing?

Having your Bars run can have an effect on reducing stress, clearing the mind quite dramatically, increased energy, sleep improvement, elimination of pains, losing weight, learning etc.

At worst you feel like you have just had the best massage of your life. At best your whole life can change into something greater with total ease.

Children and hypnosis

Children are often excellent subjects when using hypnosis, meaning that they respond well to hypnotherapy. I often see children or teenagers that have been to CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) who feel helpless and powerless and whose parents are looking for an alternative to help their children.
Most. problems stem from underlying emotional issues. This is not a judgement on the family, because even with the most loving background there can be areas that have an effect on a child, whether they are aware of it or not.

There are so many issues that can be helped using hypnotherapy and that way change a child’s life. Just like adults, children can easily be regressed and that way reveal the sources of their issues. Children have to deal with many changes in their lives, like moving house, bullying, or criticism. They may have a hard time making friends, handling school, fitting in. Just like adults they react to worry and stress in different ways. Children become angry, school work suffers, they become distracted, get headaches, stop eating, have stomach problems and so the list goes on. Small problems they used to have may become more pronounced. Maybe they can’t sleep or develop a sudden fear of animals, they may become frightened of going to the doctor, they may not want to leave the house etc. Parents are doing their best to help but it doesn’t change much for the child.

The process of hypnotherapy is very relaxing but at the same time releases anxiety and fear, and is a therapy that can completely change the outlook on life.

Panic Attacks

panic attacks help cure hypnosisAnybody who’s ever been so scared that they thought they might die knows what it feels like having a panic attack. It’s a dreadful feeling; ones heart will be thumping and there is great fear.

In many cases people have no idea what the cause of the attack may be. It seems to come out of the blue for no apparent reason and it is a very frightening experience. Hypnotherapy can be a great help when dealing with panic attacks and anxiety.

Mostly, though not always, a panic attacks begins with a feeling of fear or panic which is then rapidly followed by a number of physical symptoms. These can be nausea, intense sweating or palpitations. It is so terrifying that breathing often accelerates and so adding more symptoms. The attacks themselves can be short-lived but can also come and go for a much longer length of time. They are terrifying for the person who suffers but they are not life threatening though it may feel like it.
Clients describe their symptoms in various ways. Here are some that I hear about frequently: feeling sick, feeling dizzy, chest pain, head hurts, shortness of breath, heart thumping, sweating. The reasons for a panic attack is always great anxiety and of course a fear of dying.

Sometimes the reasons for these attacks are known or clients remember when they started and what triggers them often though they seem to come from nowhere. Hypnotherapy can certainly help find out the root causes and release them.

Hypnotherapy is extremely effective when working with anxiety and panic attacks. Rather than just giving suggestions which is what usually happens in a hypnotherapy session we will always aim to release the underlying root causes. Nobody is meant to suffer panic attacks or anxiety, so there should be no need to manage these attacks but simply eliminate them. It is easy to give a client advice on how to breathe, how to avoid triggering substances and of course reminding them that even though it feels bad there is no physical danger. However, this means nothing to somebody who suffers pain and fear and is constantly worried that it may happen again. The best thing to do is to work on the underlying causes and release them. I have done many, many sessions and it is life changing.

Hypnosis Help for Depression

Everyone feels down at some point but depression is different from feeling down. Depression is often defined as being "down" for a prolonged period of time, for more than two weeks and when symptoms begin to interfere with your life. These symptoms of depression vary for different people. People with depression almost always report being down and also having a lack of interest in activities they once enjoyed. Other symptoms include: feelings of worthlessness, hopelessness, fatigue, feeling constantly pessimistic, feeling constantly sad, anxious or empty and changes in sleep patterns, aches and pains, loss of appetite, not performing well at work or school, avoiding contact with friends and having problems in your family and home life.
Depression can make you feel lonely and helpless. J.K. Rowling in ‘Harry Potter’ describes it as ‘all the joy, warmth, and happiness feels like it’s being sucked out of the air’. Often people suffering from depression for a long time are left with only the worst experiences of their lives. They seem to freeze on the inside. They are prisoners in their own minds.
Often people cannot even remember ever having been well, they think they have always been this way. They struggle to find enjoyment in things they used to do. There is often not enough energy left to do basic chores.
Depression is difficult, soul-destroying even. It’s an illness affecting the mind. No one wants to become a prisoner of their mind. It can be helped because we are meant to have joyful lives filled with love for everything including ourselves.
The aim of hypnotherapy is to target the root cause of the issue and that way release the problems. Often people depress or forget the cause of depression because of the association with negative feelings. It’s very common to forget an event on a conscious level, but it is impossible to do on a subconscious level. It is always best to get to the root cause and confront the issue, rather than forgetting about it, which can worsen the depression.
Good therapy works with the subconscious mind and that’s exactly what a good hypnotherapist does.
