Help with Anxiety

Most people experience anxiety at some point in their lives. For some, however, it can escalate into panic attacks and a constant state of discomfort. For some, anxiety comes on suddenly, while for others it develops over a period of time. It is made worse by the expectancy of it. Often people are not sure what is causing them to feel that way.

Help with my Anger

Why hold on to anger? Just because you got hurt perhaps 25 years ago doesn’t mean you have to keep hurting. Whoever caused you the pain has most likely forgotten about it and yet it is still having power over you. The anger inside you doesn’t affect him/her at all but is certainly harmful to you. Just think about it! How much pain have you suffered by having these unpleasant feelings.

We tend to find ways of coping with pain and sometimes it is the best we can do, but it never works long-term because coping doesn’t change the feeling inside. It actually makes it worse as more energy is invested in keeping down the pressure. Hidden feelings don’t just disappear, in fact quite frequently they come up as symptoms of diseases.

All feelings are there to teach us something about ourselves. Feeling angry is very often the feeling of being paralysed or of being a victim. If you ask yourself, “Do I want to keep feeling this way?” and the answer is ‘No’, there are several ways to go about it. Hypnosis is certainly not magic but sometimes it can seem this way, especially when you are left at ease after living with a feeling that can be so debilitating.

Advanced masters such as Buddha or Osho would advise you not to become attached to a feeling but not to push them away either. That way we can learn that feelings come and go. With the use of hypnosis we are likely to find a faster relief from an unwanted feeling. There is nothing wrong with anger as it is simply a reaction to what we perceive. Often it will motivate us to change our lives and fix certain injustices. However, at times the event has occurred too long ago to change a situation.

Deep-rooted anger needs to be released. It keeps us in the past and doesn’t allow us to live life fully. To release anger is always a sign of strength, it is a message to ourselves that we want to move forward and feel good about ourselves. It does not justify what was done to us but helps us to have a far more positive future. Once the anger has gone, you will feel a lightness inside your body and a wonderful clarity.

Fibromyalgia Help

fibromyalgia-helpFibromyalgia is an illness that causes fatigue and tremendous physical pain. It’s a condition that carries many different symptoms. To me it seems to be a name given by doctors for want of a better explanation for the symptoms being experienced by the patient. The symptoms of fibromyalgia appear to be quite unpredictable; some days can be perfectly fine while on others terrible pain is experienced. The pain affects the entire body and sometimes even lying still can be painful.

Fibromyalgia sufferers frequently experience sleep disturbances, morning pain and stiffness and stomach problems.

No one is born with fatigue or fibromyalgia which means it has developed over time very likely caused by different stresses and experiences in life. Emotional experiences cause our bodies to react as I have seen this over and over again in my work. When we work on the underlying root cause the physical problems usually improve or simply disappear.
During the session we find out what the causes for this condition are and that way release them during the session. One of the first things that tend to happen is that the quality of sleep improves. This in turn will help reduce tension which has an effect on other parts of the body.

There are many different ways of working with the issue of fibromyalgia, the chronic fatigue, muscular rheumatic condition or musculoskeletal pain with tenderness at points on your body.

Panic Attacks

panic attacks help cure hypnosisAnybody who’s ever been so scared that they thought they might die knows what it feels like having a panic attack. It’s a dreadful feeling; ones heart will be thumping and there is great fear.

In many cases people have no idea what the cause of the attack may be. It seems to come out of the blue for no apparent reason and it is a very frightening experience. Hypnotherapy can be a great help when dealing with panic attacks and anxiety.

Mostly, though not always, a panic attacks begins with a feeling of fear or panic which is then rapidly followed by a number of physical symptoms. These can be nausea, intense sweating or palpitations. It is so terrifying that breathing often accelerates and so adding more symptoms. The attacks themselves can be short-lived but can also come and go for a much longer length of time. They are terrifying for the person who suffers but they are not life threatening though it may feel like it.
Clients describe their symptoms in various ways. Here are some that I hear about frequently: feeling sick, feeling dizzy, chest pain, head hurts, shortness of breath, heart thumping, sweating. The reasons for a panic attack is always great anxiety and of course a fear of dying.

Sometimes the reasons for these attacks are known or clients remember when they started and what triggers them often though they seem to come from nowhere. Hypnotherapy can certainly help find out the root causes and release them.

Hypnotherapy is extremely effective when working with anxiety and panic attacks. Rather than just giving suggestions which is what usually happens in a hypnotherapy session we will always aim to release the underlying root causes. Nobody is meant to suffer panic attacks or anxiety, so there should be no need to manage these attacks but simply eliminate them. It is easy to give a client advice on how to breathe, how to avoid triggering substances and of course reminding them that even though it feels bad there is no physical danger. However, this means nothing to somebody who suffers pain and fear and is constantly worried that it may happen again. The best thing to do is to work on the underlying causes and release them. I have done many, many sessions and it is life changing.

Gambling Addiction Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a popular option for people wanting help with their gambling problem. The aim is to address the addiction but especially the underlying problems that are the cause of the addiction. Many people gamble occasionally for fun, such as at the football world champion chips or at a horse racing events. For the majority of people occasional gambling is not a problem.

Anxiety Treatment in Hull

PHOBIAS use HypnotherapyThe majority of clients in Hull and Beverley I see come to me for help with anxiety or even panic attacks. While many of these clients have seen counsellors and been to the doctor they were left feeling the way they did before they sought help. While talking to somebody about your feelings and worries, etc. can be very helpful it isn't always the answer to a deep-seated anxiety problem. In fact it usually isn't. Some fears are so deep and some issues stem from a long time ago that they simply can’t be talked away.

In addition to this many people have no idea why they feel the way they do. In other cases they know exactly when they started feeling anxious but still can’t stop feeling that way.

While working with me in hypnotherapy we will nearly always work on the underlying root causes, no matter whether they are known or not. There are different ways of working with it and I have a very high success rate in terms of releasing and softening anxiety-based issues. Problems that have been there for years often can be shifted in a short space of time under hypnosis.

Clients leave feeling much lighter, better than they've felt for a long time. Anxiety isn't something that should be managed as we don’t have to live with it in the first place. Hypnotherapy can help you to live your life freely and easily.

If you live in Hull, Beverley or East Yorkshire contact me today to book in a session to move forward with me "Sabine Stone".

Ornithophobia Fear of Birds

Ornithophobia Fear of BirdsDo you need help with your Fear of Birds?

If you suffer from a fear of birds you might be very uncomfortable around them or even extremely frightened. Some people are frightened of all sorts of birds while for others it is only a certain variety that causes distress. When faced with confronting a bird it may be that you start shaking or are unable to move. It is extremely difficult to avoid birds completely as they are free animals and can appear seemingly out from nowhere. For many people it is the flapping of the wings that causes the anxiety.

People who are frightened of them tend to avoid areas that are likely to be inhabited by birds, such as seagulls at beach resorts or places in town where one would find many pigeons. This obviously means that they find it difficult to leave their home and they can develop agoraphobia as well. Some cases of fear are related to when children were faced with aggressive birds such as seagulls or ducks asking for food. Sometimes it can be the parents that exhibit fear which too can trigger a phobia. Sometimes it is seeing a dead bird that causes the fear or suddenly being faced with a bird that flies in through a window or bashes against a window.

Sabine Stone Beverley HypnosisA fear of our feathered friends "the birds" is not an uncommon fear but when left untreated it could become life-limiting, and as a rule it gets worse as a person gets older. Hypnotherapy and regression therapy are excellent ways of releasing such a phobia, either through working on and neutralising the cause of the fear, or through softening the anxieties associated with birds by using hypnotic relaxation and suggestions. Generally, I use both methods (sometimes combined with EFT and NLP techniques), and I have had a lot of success over the years in terms of freeing people from the life-limiting effects of phobias.

Fear of Crossing Bridges

Quite often the fear of bridges is associated with a fear of heights though this isn't always the case. There are many reason how this fear has come to pass, maybe you witnessed an accident on a bridge, or maybe at some point you looked down and were shocked at the height of it, maybe you or somebody fell off a bridge. However, most people cannot remember how this fear started.

Stop Smoking with Hypnotherapy – Hypnosis in Hull and Beverley

Hypnotherapy for smoking is one of the most effective ways to stop an unwanted habit whether you're in Hull or Beverley. It is important that you want to stop smoking for yourself rather than for your partner or friends. At times when somebody else is asking you to stop and pushing you it can be a little more difficult to get a positive result.
Hypnotherapy works by entering into a very relaxed state, a trance-like state when the mind is more open to suggestions. The therapist can introduce new thought patterns and generally tell you all the things you know on a conscious level, such as that smoking can be bad for your health, its smelly and expensive etc. As the body and mind are so relaxed the subconscious takes it on and new thought patterns can be introduced.
Many people have some worries about stopping smoking of which the most common one is that they’ll gain weight instead. However, if smoking gets replaced with anything else than the client hasn’t really stopped a habit but simply acquired another one. It is important to address this during the hypnotherapy session. Smoking used to be a social activity, and was often used as an excuse to smoke. This has changed quite dramatically so over the last 10 years especially since the smoking ban in public places around Beverley, Hull and the whole UK.

Beneath are some of the benefits of stopping smoking:

  • More energy (carbon monoxide makes it harder for your body to function fully. More oxygen will help you feel more alert and awake)
  • Healthier immune system (often have fewer colds)
More money (just calculate how many cigarettes you smoke per day and you’ll find that you make a considerate saving each month)
  • Breathing (difficulties in breathing change rapidly after stopping smoking)
  • Better looking skin (Smoking can age the skin. After stopping you find that the complexion gets brighter)

Ultimately, stopping smoking can help you to live a longer, healthier life. It’s never too late to become a non-smoker with Hypnotherapy or Hypnosis in Hull and Beverley
