Help for Anxiety, Stress and Panic attacks

Anxiety is a common human reaction to stressful events. Everybody worries from time to time. When people have anxiety disorders or suffer from panic attacks, anxiety attacks, depression, anxious feelings, coping with stress and so forth, those fears and worries don’t pass quickly. Quite often their anxiety intensifies over time causing panic attacks.

Panic Attacks

In many cases people have no idea what the cause of the attack may be. It seems to come out of the blue for no apparent reason and it is a very frightening experience. Hypnotherapy can be a great help when dealing with panic attacks and anxiety.

Mostly, though not always, a panic attacks begins with a feeling of fear or panic which is then rapidly followed by a number of physical symptoms. These can be nausea, intense sweating or palpitations. It is so terrifying that breathing often accelerates and so adding more symptoms. The attacks themselves can be short-lived but can also come and go for a much longer length of time. They are terrifying for the person who suffers but they are not life threatening though it may feel like it.
Clients describe their symptoms in various ways. Here are some that I hear about frequently: feeling sick, feeling dizzy, chest pain, head hurts, shortness of breath, heart thumping, sweating. The reasons for a panic attack is always great anxiety and of course a fear of dying.

Sometimes the reasons for these attacks are known or clients remember when they started and what triggers them often though they seem to come from nowhere. Hypnotherapy can certainly help find out the root causes and release them.

Hypnotherapy is extremely effective when working with anxiety and panic attacks. Rather than just giving suggestions which is what usually happens in a hypnotherapy session we will always aim to release the underlying root causes. Nobody is meant to suffer panic attacks or anxiety, so there should be no need to manage these attacks but simply eliminate them. It is easy to give a client advice on how to breathe, how to avoid triggering substances and of course reminding them that even though it feels bad there is no physical danger. However, this means nothing to somebody who suffers pain and fear and is constantly worried that it may happen again. The best thing to do is to work on the underlying causes and release them. I have done many, many sessions and it is life changing.

Panic attacks

panic attack helpPanic attacks can be terrifying for the person who is suffering from them. They are caused by an overload of anxiety and the symptoms are usually very clear. Someone having a panic attack will usually experience palpitations, shortness of breath, sweating, feeling of losing control etc.
Hypnotherapy is extremely effective in treating panic attacks and is certainly more effective than the use of medication which only treats the symptoms but not the underlying root courses. We tend to remove these attacks completely by working on the root problem. It is not necessary for the client to know where the problem originates from, but it is usually one or more past events that contain some form of distress.
By releasing the anxiety in these events the panic attacks subside and they do not return.
